Choose from three virtual reality rides with D.A.S.H. experience a wonderful, magical rides like no other!

Led by D.A.S.H. you’ll be taken on a fantastic journey to explore the mystical Lapland, head across the world (and even into space) as we test out the new sleigh ready for Christmas Eve!

With seating up to 6 people, this virtual reality experience offers the perfect family attraction alternative this festive season. Housed in Santa’s lodge you will be seamlessly transported into the virtual reality bay using our High Definition Virtual Reality headsets. This is a truly immersive experience with wind, tilting motion and high definition visuals to bring you a full 4 dimensional extravaganza.

The full experience will last about 5 minutes with a 3 minute run time for the experience itself.

    Join Santa's trusted pilot, D.A.S.H, on a thrilling test flight of his magic-powered sleigh. Feel the wind in your hair, the jingle of bells, and the excitement of flying through a snowy wonderland.

  • World Adventure

    Buckle up and hold on tight as you soar through dazzling landscapes and iconic landmarks from around the globe.

  • Toy Workshop Rescue

    A problem has shut down Santa's toy workshop, and D.A.S.H needs a co-pilot. Fly with him on a high-speed mission to fix the chaos, maneuver through festive obstacles, and get the toys ready for Christmas Eve.

  • Recommended for ages 5+
  • Maximum of 6 people per booking
  • Choose from 3 different ride experiences
  • For anyone booking both events (Santa’s Grotto and Virtual Sleigh Ride) we advise booking the VR slot first due to any delays with the grotto.
  • Please arrive 15 minutes in advance, any missed time slots may be refused entry.
  • Time slots are for joining the queue only, although we try our best to keep to schedule delays may occur.

Who is the VR ride suitable for?

We would recommend the full experience to be enjoyed from the ages 5 and over.

For anyone under the age of 5, discomfort with wearing a VR headset or prone to motion sickness a secondary standard screen is provided for all to enjoy the experience.

Wheelchair access is available; Please note the motion controlled sleigh may be difficult to access for some users, however the VR headsets may still be used.

When should I arrive?

Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time slot to ensure a smooth and timely experience. Unfortunately, missed time slots may result in refused entry.

While tickets can be purchased in-store on the day, we highly recommend booking online to avoid potential queues and disappointment, especially during busy periods!

How long is the ride?

There are three rides to choose from β€œWorld Adventure”, β€œLapland Adventure” & β€œToy Workshop Rescue” each experience last around 5 minutes.

What if I miss my timeslot?

While missed time slots may be subject to refusal, we'll do our best to accommodate you later the same day if space allows.

How will I receive my VR ticket?

When you pre-book your grotto visit, you'll receive an order confirmation. Please either print this off or have the confirmation email ready to show us on your phone.

If you don't receive an email confirmation, please contact us right away at 0800 157 7265 or email [email protected]. Remember to quote your order number, the billing name, or the email address you used for the booking so we can help you out quickly.

Can I buy tickets on the day?

Tickets are available to purchase on the day at the garden centre, however we do highly recommend pre-booking as the slots can be sold out. Please phone 0151 531 6688 to enquire about availability.
